January 15, 2024

On behalf of the Home Builders Charitable Foundation (HBCF), 2024 HBA President Jason Hughes (T.R. Hughes Homes) (left) presented a $20,000 donation to St. Joseph Housing Initiative director of development Christy McCutcheon.

The donation will go toward the renovation of a single-family house in the Dutchtown neighborhood that will then be sold at an affordable price to a low- to moderate-income first-time homebuyer who has been pre-qualified and participated in the organization’s home buying education program. St. Joseph Housing Initiative’s mission is to create vibrant communities through affordable quality housing where low- and moderate-income families can thrive, prosper and build wealth.

The HBA is a local trade association of nearly 600 member firms representing the residential construction industry. The Home Builders Charitable Foundation, the HBA’s charitable arm, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing housing assistance to people or organizations with special shelter needs.
