In a few days you will receive information in the mail on becoming a carpenter, floorlayer, bricklayer and other numerous good paying career paths. You will also receive a list of HBA members looking for reliable employees. We suggest you call these HBA members and let them know you got their name by responding to our online ad.
Information about the St. Louis Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship Program (CJAP) is also included in your packet of information. CJAP's employment counselors will also help you with your construction career path. The employment counselors are available on most Tuesdays and Thursdays between 7 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to help you find job leads. You can contact them directly by visiting The Nelson-Mulligan Carpenters' Training Center located at 8300 Valcour Avenue between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday (except holidays). Or call them at 314-457-8300 extension 334 to apply. You must be at least 18 years old with a valid photo I.D.
Note: For union training, you must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma or GED and pass a substance abuse test.
