To learn more about both union and non-union positions, contact the HBA of Greater St. Louis at 314-994-7700 and ask for extension 180. Once you are in the voice mail system you will be asked to leave your name, address and phone number and a few other questions. Please speak clearly.

In a few days you will receive information about the St. Louis Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship Program (CJAP). CJAP's employment counselors will help you with your construction career path. The employment counselors are available on most Tuesdays and Thursdays between 7 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to help you find job leads. You can contact them directly by visiting The Nelson-Mulligan Carpenters' Training Center located at 8300 Valcour Avenue between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday (except holidays). Or call them at 314-457-8300 extension 334 to apply. You must be at least 18 years old with a valid photo I.D.

Note: For union training, you must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma or GED and pass a substance abuse test.
