The HBA Building Permit Report is available to HBA members for an annual subscription fee. The permit information is gathered from over 75 municipalities in the counties of: St. Louis, St. Charles, Lincoln, Warren, Franklin and Jefferson and in the Cities of St. Louis and St. Charles. The monthly reports summarize: builder name, type of permit (single family detached, attached or multifamily), how many units, in which municipality, subdivision name and estimated construction costs.

Also included in the annual subscription fee is a year-end report which provides an overview of how many building permits a builder pulled, in which municipality, the type of permit and the average estimated construction costs.

Free historical permit data by county and by market can be found at this link. Customized reports can be made upon request for a fee (fee varies and would be based on what data is being requested during what time frame).
